Caros Jarsofclayanos ^^

O mundo Jars está parado no momento, pois não estão mais em tour e estão trabalhando em cd novo ^^



Hoje recebi a newsletter, mais alguém? Se não recebeu, é só se cadastrar no site.

Como o Jars informou, eles terminaram recentemente a Creation Fest: The Tour - que estamos spamzando por ai, pedindo assinaturas para nossa petição.

Depois da CF, não fizeram mais shows, só em casa, com família, twittando, indo a jogos, vendo jogos na TV, recomendando mídias, cds ...

Para o restante do ano, eles vão fazer shows em uma tour coletiva de Natal, de poucos shows. As bandas com quem vao tocar são Bebo Norman e Henry Brothers.

Eles twittaram hoje sobre a promo que a Family Christian Book Store está fazendo, para o cd LFBTE, por apenas $8.97 - até 3 de Dez. Aproveitem!

Semana passada, no Grey's Anatomy, a música "Drummer Boy" tocou no episódio #610 "Holidaze". Dá para ver o episódio no site do GA.



Como informei semana passada também, no tópico da BWM, o Jars esteve com o Senador Paul Simon, ontem, 23 de Novembro, na Belmont University em Nashville, apoiando a campanha Water for the World, cuja meta é atingir 100 milhões de pessoas com acesso auto-sustentável à água potavel, pela primeira vez, além de saneamento, até 2015.

No twitter postaram fotos do Dan palestrando. Estava presente também o Senador Bob Corker, falando sobre a proposta. Nessa foto podemos ver o Dan e o pessoal ali do lado:

Encontro de Fãs e Projeto Take the Walk, em apoio a Blood:Water Mission

Projeto Take the Walk, em apoio a Blood:Water Mission

Pessoal, não sei se todos aqui sabem que no dia 10 de Janeiro deste ano, foi realizado o "I Encontro de Fans de JoC, Sixpence e Hanson, em Brasília", em favor do projeto BWM, através do Take the Walk.

A idéia é a seguinte. O Hanson iniciou o projeto Take the Walk há um tempo e desde então já caminharam o suficiente para dar uma volta ao mundo. Eles participaram em praticamente metade das caminhadas e descalços. Exato, eles convidam as pessoas a tirarem os seus sapatos, num ato de reconhecimento a realidade das criancas e adultos africanos que caminham horas em terreno seco, em busca de água - suja! Caminhar calçado, ou descalco não muda a realidade de ninguém, sabemos disso, mas pode causar um impacto e deixar as pessoas com uma pulga atrás da orelha, com respeito a esta tomada de atitude por parte de tantas pessoas e pode despertar nelas, um interesse em ajudar. Porém o Hanson não somente incentiva e caminha junto, mas tambám doa 1 dolar ao projeto escolhido, em nome de cada pessoa que caminhou, ou seja, você não precisa doar nada. Tanto faz se for em uma caminhada em que eles estão, ou não. As causas ajudadas são: Construcão de Escolas, Construção de Cisternas d'água (BWM), Sapatos, Medicamentos, Assistencia à Maternidade etc.

Os fans do Hanson queriam organizar uma caminhada em BH pelo projeto Take The Walk, igual a que tivemos em Brasília este ano, em nosso encontro.

Além de Brasilia, essa caminhada já foi realizada por fans do Hanson, duas vezes, em São Paulo. A caminhada em Brasília tinha como causa a ser ajudada, o projeto do Jars of Clay, Blood:Water Mission. As caminhadas em SP visavam a construção de mais escolas, na África.

Visto que nossa caminhada em BH já estava pré-arranjada, convidamos o pessoal do Hanson a se unirem a nós, uma vez que nosso intuito maior com o encontro de fãs é ajudar a BWM. Logo, teriamos mais pessoas em nosso encontro e mais pessoas, significam mais dólares doados ao BWM.

Além de ajudar o projeto BWM, também vamos reunir fãs do Jars, Sixpence e Hanson, para um dia de muita música e diversão. A turma do Hanson está prometendo aparecer em massa. Temos adeptos fans do Sixpence vindo de outras cidades, precisamos dos fans do JoC lá com a gente, assim fortaleceremos o evento. Será uma ótima oportunidade para conhecermos varias pessoas legais. Estaremos todos em família, já que Jars e Sixpence são bandas irmãs e o Jars tem muitos trabalhos com o Hanson, tanto sociais, como musicais, que compartilham da mesma matriz cristã das outras bandas na composição de suas músicas.

Nosso encontro será dia 10 de Janeiro de 2010, no Domingo, em Belo Horizonte, no Parque dos Mangabeiras, as 10:00 da manhã. Vamos nos reunir em frente a portaria principal, aquela lá dentro do Parque. Vocês podem chegar aqui no Sábado, pra gente já entrar no clima. Podemos receber os visitantes na rodoviária, ou aeroporto e tentaremos acomodar os visitantes de alguma forma, se possível. Quem for de BH, sinta-se a vontade para levar amigos e familiares, mesmo se não curtirem a música, pois podem registrar que caminharam 1 milha, em favor da África!

Temos uma comunidade da caminhada, para discutir e articular as questões relacionadas. Estamos decidindo a camisa do evento agora, acho legal se todos também aparecessem por lá, para ajudarem a construir o evento.

Petição Oficial: Jars of Clay no Brasil!

Ainda estaremos em algum dia noticiando que Jars of Clay esteve no Brasil e fez história. Mas enquanto isso não chega, o que resta é esperar... será? Ficaremos de braços cruzados esperando que as bandas venham até nós de acordo com o sucesso no hemisfério norte? Ou então, se não for pedir demais, faremos um abaixo assinado para que a banda venha até nós?

Uma dessas possibilidades está em andamento. Trata-se de uma petição organizada por Juca of Clay, um fã da banda que mora nos EUA e que tem se esforçado para que essa possibilidade esteja mais próxima.

Atualmente, como noticiado aqui, a banda e outras estão participando da Turnê Creation Fest. O organizador do evento, Harry Thomas, tomou conhecimento do interesse de nosso país em receber as bandas da turnê, inclusive, é claro, JARS!, e aceitou com alegria a realização desta petição.

Ou seja: a possibilidade de as bandas virem para o Brasil (na petição também estão relacionadas as bandas Sixpence None The Richer, Leeland, Switchfoot, etc) está em nossas mãos! Penso que é muito melhor um evento desses acontecer do que esperar que a banda desembarque por aqui daqui a muito tempo ou talvez, nem isso...

Super indico que assinem e divulguem para o máximo de pessoas possíveis. Só a nossa manifestação pode trazer neste momento bandas como essas!!!

Turnê Long Fall Back To Earth

Ao longo dos últimos meses, além de grandes shows em Cincinnati, Goshen e todo o sul da Califórnia, os caras tem participado de alguns eventos muito especiais. Num deles que se tornou um encontro anual, a banda tocou no concerto antes do jogo de baseball Nashville Sounds AAA em 9 de julho. Os shows tem muito a ver com o Projeto Blood: Water Mission, que utilizam estes concertos para angariar fundos e conscientização. A Blood: Water Mission já ajudou diversas comunidades na África.

Em 11 jul, os caras jogado após um Minnesota Twins jogo (foto acima), em um concerto patrocinado pelos nossos amigos na KTIS. A banda começou a reunir alguns dos jogadores e ainda foram capazes de deitar fora o primeiro arremesso! (Andrew Osenga preenchido por Matt naquela noite).
